Host an Event - a Food Drive or Fundraising Event

Are you ready to make an impact in our neighbourhood and help end hunger? With your passion and dedication, you can rally your network and organize successful campaigns. Whether you raise funds, collect food, or do both, you make an immediate difference for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

If you have an event planned and want to partner with the Alliston Food Bank, please email Jaime Karsch at jaime@allistonfoodbank.com to discuss your plans. We can help with promotions and logistics to help make your event a success.

How to Host a Food Drive or Fundraising Event:

Step 1: Create A Fundraising Event and Set Your Goal

This can be the main focus of your goal such as a school food drive or an aspect of your event such as free admission with a donation to the Alliston Food Bank.

Fundraising Ideas
  • Personal Celebrations
  • Peer to Peer Fund Drive & Food Drive
  • School Fundraiser
  • Community Fundraiser
  • Workplace Campaign
  • Portion of Proceeds
  • Targeted Campaign
  • Holiday Campaigns

Be sure to personalize your page with a picture and a message about why you’re raising funds.

Step 2: Share Your Link

Send your custom link to family and friends, inviting them to support your fundraising event.

Rally your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours or classmates to donate non-perishable food items. We’ll provide you with a checklist of our most-needed items and you can even request bins and/or bags to collect your donations.

Post information on your bulletin boards, put posters in highly visible areas, use social media to get the word out, create a Facebook event page and/or send out email blast.

Share Your Events with Us!

Your efforts and creativity are appreciated, and we encourage you to tag us on social media (@allistonfoodbank) so that we can spread the love and share your event with our community.

Step 3: Track Your Progress

Track your fundraising results and thank all your supporters.
