We offer multiple ways for you to support our mission and make a positive impact on your community. You can choose to make a one-time donation or become a recurring donor, providing sustainable support for our ongoing efforts. Contributions over $20 will receive a charitable tax receipt.

Cash & Cheques

Cash and cheques can be dropped in the secure box located at the front of the food bank, or you can drop it off during our regular business hours.

Tax receipts will be sent via mail. If you would like a digital tax receipt please provide us with your email address

Looking for another way to make an impact? CanadaHelps also offers a simple and secure way to donate publicly traded securities, including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.

A gift of securities is one of the most tax-efficient ways to support a registered charity. By donating securities directly, you may receive a charitable tax receipt for the full market value of your gift while avoiding the capital gains tax that could apply if you sold the securities before donating the proceeds.*

CanadaHelps securely manages the transfer, sale, and receipting process, making it simple to support the Alliston Food Bank through a gift of securities.

Non-Perishables

1) Drop off non-perishable food donations at designated bins located at Zehrs or FreshCo.

Non-perishable donations can be dropped off at either location during regular business hours.

FreshCo donation bin is located at the far end of the checkouts at the front of the store.

Zehrs donation bins are located at both entrances/exits, between the sliding doors.

Only non-perishables are accepted in these donation bins.

The stores often sell pre-packaged bags prepared by the store which include our most needed items.

2) Drop Off Food Donations Directly at the Alliston Food Bank

Donations are accepted at the food bank on:

Tuesdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm
Wednesdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm
Thursdays from 9:00am to 7:00pm

We also accept garden produce donations during these times.

If these times won't work for you, please contact the food bank at 705-435-3255 and we can arrange for someone to meet you at a more convenient time.

3) For Large Donations, Contact us 705-435-3255 to arrange a pick-up

If you have a large donation (for instance following a food drive event) and are unable to deliver it to the food bank yourself, please contact our team so we can arrange to come and pick it up from you.

Can't make it to the store? You can purchase non-perishable food and personal hygiene items from Amazon and have them shipped directly to the Alliston Food Bank.
